The H8 performs face recognition on HarmonyOS 5.0 for contactless passage. It is aimed at residential communities, office buildings, schools, government offices, scenic sites, venues, and factories and construction sites, and it can also be used as a face turnstile and a face access terminal.

The documentation states an operating temperature of +10℃ to +30℃. Where outdoor or equipment-room temperatures vary more widely, confirm the installation environment against this range.

What system does the H8 run?
The operating system is HarmonyOS 5.0, and it can be upgraded and restarted remotely. The CPU is an open-source RISC-V octa-core at up to 2.0GHz, and the NPU is 2T. Memory is 2GB or 4GB. Storage is 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB.
How large is the face library, and how far can it recognize?
The face library holds 20,000 faces, and recognition includes liveness verification. Recognition distance is 0.5 to 3 m, recognition height is 1.2 to 2.2 m, and the left-right and up-down angles are each 30°. Detection and tracking take 20 ms, and feature extraction takes 300 ms.
